New owner of a Silverado....looking for opinions
Hello all....just bought a used 2000 Silverado K1500 LS with about 87,000 miles on it. Well, I should say my wife just bought it for me (lucky guy!). Anyway, we already own an 2008 Uplander, and I have to say....I have been less than pleased with the issues that has had.
What should I expect from the Silverado? A friend told me he expects to get about 300,000 miles out of his. And where as the electric door problems the uplander seems to have aren't going to be a problem on the Silverado...what kind of issues do you guys seem to see over and over?
Really just excited about the whole thing and don't want to be too surprised if it has issues.

Fuel pumps tend to go out, water pump as well(after long use anyways), knock sensors can go out too(the furthest one back). Other than those issues it's been nothin but regular maintenance (oil, hubs, spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, etc out of my 01

The Silverado is a much better vehicle than the Uplander. With the low mileage one you got, there should be very little problems with it. I sold my 99 with 175,000 miles on it and it ran as good as the day I bought it.
