Default New Shocks?

Well my o7 z71 is about to turn 100k, I plow with it and town with it, I think it's time for new shocks, and recommendations for new ones?

I have always heard that if they are still working correctly then don't change them. You can buy the high priced ones and pay more or go with Monroe and get a great shock for great value. I have had Monroes's on my truck for over 120,000 miles and they are still good. No off roading.

I have Rancho 5000's on mine and I have no complaints about them. My truck had 85,000 miles on it when I changed them and my factory shocks were completely shot. There are better shocks out there, but for the money the Rancho's seem like a decent shock to me.

shocks/struts are recommended to be changed every 50k personally i'd probably go 100 if theres no issues.

As far as brands I've ran rancho and monroe but its all a matter of price/opinion

I agree with the "two ways" option.

If you have the money, and you want a hard cornering and

stiff handling truck, go with the Ranchos, I prefer 9000s for the

3/4 ton.

But Monroe Gas Magnums are an economical alternative.
