Default New Shocks

The front shocks on my 2001 Silverado 1500 4x4 are shot. They're probably the original. Whats a good replacement? I don't have a lift kit or do any heavy off-roading. Just daily driving and working. Want a nice smooth ride. Currently have stock-size tires I'm going bigger on the next set.
