Default Newbie and need help please

Hi we have a 2000 Silverado 2500 2WD we were planning on putting a small lift on it but it has no torsion bars on it. Can someone please explain this to me.Why it does not have them and now how do we give it a 3 or 4" lift.

torsin bar's come on the 4x4 ,you have coil springs and that limits how much lift you can do .

x2 on Will's reply.
If you are set on a suspension lift, the best route to go is lift spindles, or shocks and springs with an A-arm.
Otherwise a body lift would be more practical.
