Default no cruise

I have an o8 2500hd max silverado and the cruise was intermittant and is now gone. I've checked all the obvious with no results. Any suggestions?

by obvious I guess your mean fuse/relay?

that is most likely the cause. Only other thing I can think of would maybe be
a loose wire connection somewhere.
a loose connection would explain the intermitant problem and I guess now the wire finally came loose which is why it completely does not work now, or it grounded out and tripped a fuse.

good luck

What is the current mileage on the vehicle?
