oddball 1989 wiper motor
Hello everyone, I have a 1989 Silverado with tbi 350. I'm looking into getting a new windshield wiper module for my truck as it only works on high speed. However, I have the oddball Cardone 400-185 wiper model only put in 'lucky' trucks of 88-90 approx. I have scoured countless parts sites, checked Autozone, Napa, etc, harassed the nice people at ac/Delco for days and still can not find a replacement module at which point I assume the myth is true about the part not existing. I'm going to try dielectric grease, if that doesn't work I'm going to go to pick and pull and just get a used, normal wiper motor that takes the normal c shaped module that is easily replaceable, but I am still curious if anyone actually found that elusive replacement module for the oddball wiper motor that GM used sparingly, possibly whenever they ran out of AC Delco motors during a rushed production line. If so, I think it's appropriate that a novel should be written about your quest.

Any luck?
In my ‘89 Suburban, Imay or may not have the same wiper motor & controller as yours, but it’s also *not* the usual one with the C-shaped board at the top. Problem is, I can’t even find the control board. Where’s your’s located, and did you have any luck fixing it, finding a replacement, or swapping with a whole new motor with C-shaped controller? If so, how’d the rewiring of that go?
