Default possible "wrong" XM aftermarket pkg

I just got a "end of car year" 07 Silverado Crewcab LTZ. It had everything we wanted EXCEPT the XM radio. The premium radio is XM "ready", it has the new"all in one" XM-ONStar antenna. There seems to be more than one kit model available. This is for the new body style. How do I know which kit is right? My dealership is confused also. They cannot seem to find the kit for my truck- only the one for vehicles WITHOUT ON Star. HELP PLEASE!

The dealer should be able to search using your VIN to get the option you wanted.

Looks like part#17801150 is what you are looking for. Research says that Tahoes that don't have XM from that factory need to use the combo antenna that is supplied in the kit. (No XM means Onstar only antenna.) Silverados may be different. It is surprising that the LTZ didn't have factory XM????

Thanks Tahoe07- Yea we were surprised too about the LTZ with no XM. I guess it could have been a freak of nature "special order" that was not picked up. Anyway the rest of the truck is great. All of the 07 new body style trucks we looked at with the XM had only the Onstar antenna. we compared just to be sure.

dhblack,

You might want to take the lack of xm in a LTZ as some forward thinking and drop a Sirius tuner in there, for the best in sat. radio.
