Default Programmer for 2007 Silverado 5.3

Hello everyone. I'm looking at ways to improve the fuel efficiency of my '07 Silverado and my preliminary research has shown that a programmer may help. Can you offer any suggestions for high quality programmer brands? I'm looking more for fuel efficiency rather than power. Thanks!

I have an EDGE Evolution Programmer on my F150 and it gave me a drastic inscrease in fuel econ. There are settings to adjust your actual tire size/etc etc... and it will come up with an economy setting for you. I can get almost 24 on the interestate setting my speed at 70. I was getting nearly 13-14 around town and if I lay off the foot looking around 16-18 around town. I also installed K&N Cold Air Intake kit when I did the install. Hope this helps. I would go with EDGE products

i have the hypertech max energy on an 87 octane tune, and it isnt that great, but hypertech seems to have better gains in the 87 octane than other programmers. i refuse to pay for 93 octane just to get 20hp. most people on truckforums.com like the predator, mainly because you can turn off a % of the torque management system which stiffles the power of the newer GM's.

the max energy did give me about 1mpg increase though. but i did tow for the 2 tanks of gas with it on so i havent had a chance to figure it with an empty load.
