Default Push button 4x4

Seems to be a good amount of talk on here about the PB 4x4 problems but never seem to get any conclusion. Mine is starting to act up by telling me it's in nuetral by the red light coming on even though I am driving down the road in 2Hi. It takes several pushes to get it to read correctly. Sometimes when I shut off the engine everything goes back the way it is supposed to be. Does anyone know the part number for the switch or a cost?

Mine did the exact same thing.... In fact you have to really pay attention because mine would shift into 4 Low while just driving... It would hit neutral and drive funny until I either hit the 2WD button or shut it off and restarted. I replaced the switch inside first. 6 months later it started again and I replaced the actuator. Problem never returned. 2003 LT. 113K Any questions email me bdk437@gmail.com

Default Help

My 04 Tahoe buttons show 4 high when I start the car then there are no lights on. It won't come out of 4 high. It tells me to service 4x4. This happened after my mechanic lifted my truck in the air and free spun my tires in D to see if my rear end was bad. My pinion bearing was bad. We fixed that. Now it still has no lights on my 4x4 switch except when I first start the Tahoe. It won't let me switch it into 2wd. I had a mechanic tell me to take battery cables off and clamp together for 3 to 5 mins to reset computers. I don't know if that's actually a good idea. Please help.
