Radiator Drain Valve (petcock)
I am soon going to flush & replace my coolant/anti-freeze in my 2004 Silverado 1500 {5.3L V8}. When I looked under the hood, I did not see the drain valve. Is it hidden behind the fan shroud or something? Jeez!
I don't much like it when things are not where I am accustomed to seeing them on other vehicles. Where is the dang thing?

check at the bottom of the radiator on either side. should be at the lowest point of gravity. if you cant find it. invest in a chiltons manual or disconnect your lower radiator hose.

Yep; I may have to go that route. The hose doesn't look as though it would be very hard to remove - and the clamp is acessible.
Thanks!!
