Default Regarding equipment

I own a 2006 and a 2014 Silverado. I'm happy with both even on wet surface. Now I got two questions.
Is the 2006 equipped with ESP? Did Chevrolet discontinue flat springs after 2018?
Thanks!

ESP (or similar system) would’ve been optional on a 2006. Look at the RPO code sticker in the glove box and find the definition here - https://rparts-sites.s3.amazonaws.co...n/rpoCodes.pdf - any RPO for a stability control system will start with C, J, or Z.

As for the springs - do you mean flat coil springs or leaf springs?

I don’t know if they’ve been discontinued or became optional. I haven’t seen anything newer than a 2018 yet and it has leaf springs. After googling photos I see what you mean.

Thanks a lot! I'll check the RPO code sticker in the glove box to find out about the ESP. I always liked that leaf springs, especially on a rough road.

if it has stability control you should see the warning light do a bulb check at key on. look for an amber pic of a vehicle with wavy lines.
