Default Replacing a 305 with a 4.3 v6 in a C-10

1982 C-10, sm465 granny gear 4spd, 305-4v, Q-jet

The old 305 in this truck is in need of help. It's either another SBC or possibly a 4.3 since it's not in need of tons a power due it's light use and my desire to get "decent" mileage. A mild 305 build and swap is the easy call. I know I can build a 4.3L to get good power as well.
Just wondering if the 4.3L will bolt into a position that will not cause any transmission/bell housing issue?
Thanks,
matt
