Default silverado 02/03 front end changes

I'm looking to get a new front bumper for my Silverado but I noticed the previous owner had some work done to it. . So it's a 02 bit I noticed most 99-02 have the more "bubbly" head lamps but the work done to my truck now has the newer style head lamps so I'm just wondering if there was any frame changes to the front end other than the body panels and head lamps from 02 to 03 years because I noticed in the aftermarket it will be grouped as 99-02 and 03-06 so I'm wondering if my trick would still apply under 02 for mounting purposes

I have a 2004 Silverado and my friend has a similar truck to mine, but his is a 2002. The front end does look different (as the 2003 to 2006 has the "angry" look with the angled headlight lenses and the 1999 to 2002 has a straighter lens); but the interior and sides of the truck are very close in appearance. The 1999 to 2002 trucks have different tail lamps, too. They have amber rear turn signal lights - but the 2003 to 2006 trucks have all-red lenses in theirs.

Not sure about any mechanical or suspension differences, though, aside from the 2004 5.3L V8 engine having about 10bhp more than the 2002.

To go from 99-02 front end to a 03-06 front on a 99-02 body style you just need the front bumper brackets. That's the only thing different from what I've read

yeah thats better way to describe it.. my 2002 has the angry front but it looks like someone fabbed it to make it work so im lost as to the after market year to search under because most are seperated as 99-02 and 03-06

Nice excatly what I was wondering so I guess now im just curious if thats it that would mean for mounting aftermarket bumpers probably bout identical install so I should look for bumpers under the 03-06 due to the newer panels on my silverado you think?

If you have the 03-06 front, slanted headlights, then yeah just look under 03-06 for somethin bumper wise
