Silverado 2500? 3500? Diesel or Gas?

yes you can get the allison tranny in a 2500/3500 v8...the new diesels seem to have much more power than previous diesels..its up to her though. the diesel will pay itself off with the work you can do with it

After asking that question, i looked on Chevys website and apparently for 2011 they no longer offer the Allison with the Gasoline V8. When you choose the Allison option, it automatically picks the Diesel instead...

We have not offered the Allison transmission with a gas engine in many years. You can only get the Allison transmission with the Duramax Diesel engine. I would advise your friend to go with a 2500 Silverado with the Duramax engine.
