Small mods

I have a 2005 silverado single cab 2wd 5.3, and i was just wondering what small mods i could do to pick it up quite a bit. I have cat back exhaust, an airaid cold air kit, and a superchips cortex programmer. I was thinking of doing a throttle body spacer next (are they worth it? and if so what's the best brand). A guy that works with my wife has a 2005 dodge 4 door hemi 2wd and he keeps saying he'll smoke my truck. I'm almost 100% sure i can get him now, his truck runs a 9.88 in the 1/8th mile, i just wanna be extra sure.

there not much small stuff left to do. I don't think the throtle spacers do much. I have one but did not notice much difference. even all the stuff you do just won't give you a whole lot. you can put a corvette servo in the trans. Also could put a after market mass air flow sensor in.

You can hollow out the cats...but that wont give u much more hp, only other thing i can think of before you get into the motor is headers but they are pretty pricey on newer trucks, oh also there are those plastic throttle body inserts that smooth the air out(made by vararam)..idk if they do much either though

Throttle body spacer will not do anything. Look into a black bear custom tune. I hear that is the best mod you could ever do. Way better than any out of the box tune.

Cheapest way to make lots of quick power......nitrous
You can get a quick kit with a smaller bottle for under $200. Just dont over-do it and fry your piston rings.
As for a corvette servo thats just a little insurance for your 2-4 band, and you'll have firmer shifts. (assuming you have a 4l60e)
It wont make you go any faster, but it is a really nice mod and every vehicle with a 4l60e should have one. But heres the question, will they cause your sun shell to break faster? A firmer shift will shock the sun shell teeth and their weak as it is. I don't know...
