Default So I went to Wal-Mart for some toothpaste...

And this happened:

<a href="http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t188/DesireableSins/Beast/Buckled.jpg"><img src="http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t188/DesireableSins/Beast/th_Buckled.jpg"></a>

I was stopped in the lane looking for a parking place, and waiting for some kids to cross in front of me. He backed straight out of his parking space and did said damage. It's not too much, but the last picture shows how the metal buckled. I got his insurance information and contact information, and filed the claim in the parking lot. I should know more soon.

At least you were there when it happened. Otherwise, he could have left you stuck with it.
I still have a slight dent in the back bumper of my Blazer from where some woman on a silver escort run into the back of it in the parking lot at Bojangles in Princeton and left the scene.

boy howdy, now i cant tell where that damage is... is it on the passanger rear part of the bed just behind the rear door? if so then damn they pushed the metal all the way? insurance will love the guy that did it. from what i can see the body shop gets to
A) take the bed off and either pull the metal back out or cut it and put a patch in. then clean the welds and bondo then glaze then prime and so on. but hey, that means you get to get new paint on parts of your bed AND door. if you know a guy that owns a well run shop, talk to him first before insurance tells you where to go, then ask the shop if he could get you a quote, quote that includes more of painting areas around your booboo. see when i got in an accident. i went teh next day to my body shop and got a quote. the very funny thing about what happened to me is that i was across the street from the shop at a rock place. getting my truck loaded with rock from a front loader. and he was doing well keeping my truck unharmed then his dumb a$$ put the bucket on my bed rails. just let it down and rock went on the sides and everything. talked to the owner. then got a quote. they day before i was going into the shop to get my whole bed painted(which is nice because it was in some nasty dent and scratch phazes.) i got in an accident. my fault. retarded accident. so... got another quote. talked to the shop and i got my whole drivers side painted and new hood, front fenders and grille and that sort all painted. pics say why i gt new front parts...

Tell me about it!

I've witnessed a Trailblazer do more damage than a dent
to a small Honda in a theater parking lot then ditched.
I felt horrible that I wasn't able to get a license plate
and tell the poor guy who owned that Honda.
Then again, I was just glad nothing like that happened to me.

Alright guys, I have to find a body shop to have the body damage repaired, and I was wondering; what should I be looking for in a good body shop?

Ask around. Word of mouth is still the best bet, IMO.

Sorry you got boned. That could happen to any of us.
