So I got into my 93 silverado last night and when i tried to start it up, no luck. All my lights and guages came on, but the starter didn't engage or even click. It also felt like the key wasn't turning at the start position, which in turn wasn't allowing the started to do its job. Has anyone else had this issue, and is it the ignition like i am assuming? I don't want to tear the steering column to pull the ignition if i don't have to.

If the key doesn't turn like usual like it has play or it doesn't kick back when turning it all the way it would be my best guess for it to be the starter cylinder.
