Default Steering column noise

Have a 2001 Silverado 1500 Z-71 4x4. Replaced the steering column intermediate shaft with the update and all was good for a few months. Now back to the old same noise, any idea's what next to check or change.

what kind of noise are we talking about here, a squeak or screech kind of thing, knocking, or grinding?

More of a knocking noise than anything else. Does not matter if on rough or smooth roads. Putting pressure on the steering wheel or adjusting column does not stop or quite noise.

I hate to just keep asking questions but I think it will help one of us or maybe someone else that looks at the thread to figure it out, but does it matter how your driving like only turning or literally all the time no matter what. The reason I ask because after you fixed you might have uncovered another problem like a ball joint bouncing, a bad hub or tie rods having play.

Just about all the time any surface but mostly noticable at low speeds. Ball joint, tie rods, axles and hubs all new and heavy duty. My thought is noise coming from steering wheel column adjuster. Really don't want to mess with that so probably turn radio up louder.
