Steering Klunk

Steering Klunk
I would imagine others have run into this and I am curious how prevalent this is. 03' 1500 HD and you get a klunk noise in the steering and if it goes on for awhile the steering starts to get a little sloppy, seems especially prevalent when the suspension is working over bumps. I had this fixed 3 times when under warranty. The third fix lasted a good while, from about 38k miles to 109k. Started doing it again so I replaced the steering intermediate shaft as they had done previously. Only drove it down the street so far, but seems to feel better and I didnt hear the noise.
I attached a .jpg of the part, GM part number 19153614 if anyone is having the same issue, but does know what to do to fix it. I changed it myself, it's relatively easy, but the new part requires quite a bit of encouragement to slide on to the lower shaft just above the crush sleeve.
