Default Stereo EXPERTS

I removed tape player/equalizer from my 1994 chevy truck and i'm trying to install a stereo in its place.. is that possoble?

wire connector is different than the one on the new stereo!! oh well what do i know lol

You're gonna need to leave the equalizer, I don't think there's anything that'll replace the hole. You're gonna need a new face plate, check the previous thread I replied too.

I left the equalizer dead in it's place. Install with the new faceplate and it should look like this:

Well... i had to remove the tape player to install the kit and stereo.. My problem is that the connectors in my truck are different than the one i have on the new stereo... I'll show you some pics when i have time or you can explain to me without any pics

You need the Scosche GM02B connector.

Okay i'll get the connector but does this connect to the unit above the accelerator pedal?

They should connect to the two connectors you mentioned just inside the dash from where you removed the old tape deck.

Okay i got the new stereo to work but i have problems

Is there anyway to make old stereo work too?

New stereo is sticking out because of a metal piece.. that need to be removed ?

do i need to buy antenna or factory antenna works?

I only want to use the aftermarkt stereo for cds... i want radio to be controlled by factory stereo.

gotta tell you it sounds like your making an awful lot of work for yourself.

Most folks round here pull the eq and put in a new deck and run it.

I'm sure you could run 2 decks, but your going to be doing alot of wiring, plus I'm not sure how that would tie in, 2 head units trying to send signals to the same speakers, I know that don't work well with PA systems can't imagine it's good for truck stereos.
