Hey yall I'm just kind of looking to get a good idea on some replacement heads. I had a head gasket leak on my old motor and now possibly have one on the 04 motor i put in my 99. I will be pretty disappointed if it ends up being the head gasket again but it is what it is. Anyways I know these Vortec motors have a beast of a block on em and everything else but chevy keeps having down falls with these heads. If I end up changing the head gasket I am going to put new heads with new valves and everything. I'm not looking for increased hp or anything I just want my truck like a new stock engine which it does except for my possible blown head gasket.
So I looked at autozone and see the surefire heads, price don't seem too bad. OR power torque from o reilly
What do yall think about these heads and any advice of where I could get a good price or preferably some good heads that yall know about I would really appreciate it
