Default Temp Actuator problem

I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD Diesel with the dual manual temp controls for driver and passenger. My drivers side temp actuator was not working and was stuck on cold. I replaced the actuator, and after about 10 minutes the drivers temp went to HOT while I had the air conditioner running. I removed the fuses and the temp reset back to normal. Any idea what could be causing this? The actuators aren't very cheap and I don't want to spend the money on another one to have the same problem.

Welcome to the forum...
Are you waiting the full 40 seconds for the calibration to complete before making any adjustments to the AC ?

I did wait, but I hadn't removed the fuses that I seen elsewhere on the forum. I removed the fuses last night and waited for over a minute when I started it back up. So far it is working, but I will see what happens tonight on my way home from work.
