Default Temperature gauge not working 04' Silverado

2004 Siverado 2500HD 80K miles and the temperature gauge stopped working. I've seen other threads about non-working gauges but they don't describe my issue. My temperature gauge is all the way to the left, as in below any numbers and it doesn't move at all. Despite not seeing any movement after grounding the sensor connection, I replaced the temp. Sensor when I flushed the Cooling system but to no avail.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you

the stepper motor has failed. I just rebuilt the instrument panel on my 2004
silverado. You can look on E-bay for the rebuild kit that comes with Stepper motors and lights or
send it out to have someone do it for you.

You can also do a search on U-tube and it shows you how to do it.
