Default Thermostate

I have a 93 Chevy pickup Silverado V6, I have put a new radiator and change the thermostat several times. When I put a thermostat in my truck it runs hot but when I don't have a thermostat it is fine. I want to use the thermostat because in the winter it is cold and my heater do not get hot. N E solutions???? Thanks in advance!!!!

I brought the thermostat from Auto zone n Oriellies. They gave me the thermostat that was compatible with my truck but it didn't not work.

Are you talking about the type of thermostat? I think it is a upside down.

How is it running hot? During any speed? Or at idle, say at a red light?

Does turning on your interior heater help?

Is your engine fan turning on? Or is it dead?

Yes it runs hot while driving, sitting idle but if I take the thermostat out it doesn't run hot.
