Default RE: Tire Question-2004 silverado 1500 LS

Hi
A small correction to ukrkoz, when driving on snow you want as small print as possible for best friction. Big prints make the weels ski out of control. Look at the rally racecars (WRC) on snow extremely narrow, on dirt medium, on asphalt wide prints.
The same principle applies to forrestry machines. On snow, narrow tires so you can get to the grip on the underlying hard surface. That is if you do not need the width to stay afloat.

stchman: yes for springmovement it works. But how about steering angles?

Any alteration from standard will have a price to it, besides the obvious cost of the alteration. Sometimes the modifications have benefits that motivate the extra dollar. But that is not the case very often. Sad truth for those of us who like to diddle in home made improvements.
