Transmission wont go into second gear
Aloha,
This is my first post on this forum so please bear with me.
I have a 2007 Chevy Silverado classic, LT1, extended cab, 5.3lregular gas V8, 2wd.
I got a "check engine" light, bought a code reader from Amazon and saw the error code is 752. I changed both shift solenoids, fluid and filter. Erased the code and a week later the light came on again. Took the truck to a local transmission shop and they changed the shift solenoid, erased the code and light with their $7000.00 Snap-On code reader. About one week later light came back on with the same code. Took the truck back and the shop changed the wiring harness inside the transmission. Labor and parts about $325.00. So a week later (today) light came back on with the same code. Called the repair shop...they don't have a clue. Can anyone please help??? Thanks.

This is mechanical, not electrical.
The 1/2 shift valve is sticking (applied). Pull the valve and check it's return spring....good chance it's broken, getting under the valve land and causing the valve not to return to it's home position.

Let me say this again. IT IS NOT THE SOLENOID. The issue is more than likely with the 1-2 shift valve and/or it's spring.

Hokey dokey. Got ya now. I was cornfused. I will check out where this valve is located and try to see if the spring is working properly. Thanks again for taking the time to respond. Yes it is the 4l60 auto transmission.
