This is a great idea for those who have the resources, but the reason turbos have started to fade in popularity from the retail market is most manufacturers haven't been able to deal with "coking"; a turbo dirt buildup inside the engine and system over a short period of time. Many retail purchasers bought into the "Turbo" fad about 15-20 years ago, only to have engine problems down the road.
Pro racers don't have this problem because they rip the engine completely apart every few races, and carry spare engines which a team can drop into the car at a moment's notice.
