Valvolines' new "300,000 mile engine life guarantee"

So above are the terms and conditions.
I already have 140,000 miles on my truck so I am void from participating in
their guarantee. But if it is as straight forward as they are saying maybe I
should switch. I currently use 20W 50 non synthetic Chevron oil and I haven't
had any bad results.
Anybody use Valvoline? How do you like it?
To the Mechanic guru's, what do you think of Valvoline oil vs Chevron oil?

I have used Valvoline for over 30 years.
My 97 has 250,000 miles.
However I believe it is more important to change your oil and filter regularly, than the name on the label.

Valvoline is one of the good oils. Used it for over 40 years. I Use Mobil 1 in the winter. With proper maintenance your Chev will get that 300,000. No problem.

I agree that changing motor oil and the oil filter frequently is the best "insurance" for longevity of a vehicle. I've used Valvoline - and just about every other brand of oil available; and have never had any "oil-related" problems.
300,000 miles on a well-maintained engine is not impossible these days. Unfortunately, other expensive things on the vehicle that need repair/replacement are likely to make keeping it that long cost-prohibitive.
If you do go with the Valvoline guarantee, be sure to keep ALL RECEIPTS and document the date & mileage whenever you change the oil and filter.
