Get this, GMCs 100,000 mile warranty is transferrable on 2007s and 2008 silverados ok. I purchased a 2007 LT ext cab 4x4 Z71 with 5300 miles. The dealer charged me for another 4 yr. 100,000 mile warranty (1400.00) more and (of course) didn't tell me it was FREE. So what do you think happened next,( RIGHT) They sent me a (guilt trip) check for 700.00 and I was astonished enough to call and ask the dealer if the check was real (not knowing about the transferrable warranty). Well they said of course its real---cash it Mr. Meyer and sorry for the mistake we made. When I asked what the mistake was they said it was for charging me too much for sales tax. Well I didn't find any mistake in sales tax. I think they owe me 700.00 more for the other half of the transferrable warranty that should of been free in the first place. Whats your'alls thoughts! What can I do about this? Steve Meyer[>:]

If you look closely at the extended service contract that the dealer originally sold you it is probable that it covers the truck bumper-to-bumper much like the 3yr/36,000 mile warranty that comes with all Chevrolet trucks, the GM 5yr/100,000 mile warranty only covers the powertrain so the refund was to compensate you for the powertrain portion of the warranty that is now standard (if that is the case of course).
