i am looking to buy a new exhaust system for my 2008 chev 5.3l

which muffler has the best rumble to it with out being crazy loud? or should i just spend the extra money and go catback

 

Friend I know had Flowmaster 40 series, wasn't too loud (subjective of course) but sounded pretty good. Older year, but should be similar...

 

I have a flowmaster super 44, and it is nice. i prefer it over the 40 series and 50 series. the super 44 has a nice tone and rumble at idle and sounds like i i broke the bank on a system at higher rpms. not too loud until about 4000 rpms. it has hardly any drone and it doesnt get old. very nice sound

 

never been a fan of flowmaster...I've seen most trucks actually lose power from these things. an the drone is unbearable, except the super 44s, they're not too bad. I'm just not into the whole smooth sounding exhaust. is it gonna be dualed? single in single out or single in dual out?
