Default What's the problem?

Been browsin the site for awhile and never really had reason to join until now. I own a 1988 K-2500. She has about 160,000 miles on her.
The other day I was drivin down the road, passed through a stop sign and when I got up to about 40, she made a loud "thump" sound and died. After that point she would crank but wouldn't start.
Started takin off and checkin parts found out that the command module was toast. So got a new one.
Now she will start, but must have throttle otherwise dies.
When I checked the spark plugs, all but cylinders 1,2, and 4 were soaked in gasoline.
So, figured it was time for a tune up anyway, got a new cap, rotor, wires and plugs.
The first time after everything new was in, she started up, started to die, I revved it up and then she leveled out at a perfect idle. 20 seconds later she died and now back to the previous problem of not staying.

I checked all the vacuum lines-No leaks, tears or holes.
Oil is clean and full.
Plenty of gasoline in tank.
Fuel pump does activate and tbi is getting fuel.
No funny noises or obvious sounds of problems.

Anyone have any ideas of what happened or is wrong?
