Wheel and tire help
I have some 16x8 wheels with a 4.5 inch backspace that I want to put on a 98 Silverado 1500 with no kind of lift on it. What size tire would work and look the best with no rub?

I just put 17x9 with 4.53" Back space on my 06 silverado. I got 285/70 R17 and it barely rubbed when I turned. Took about 2 minutes of cutting and it hasnt rubbed since. Your truck is going to get alot dirtier though lol. Its been snowing here and from where i went to put the tires on to my house bout 2 miles away my truck was covered in black crap from the road.

I just trimmed the plastic on the air dam and the plastic bit above it I only had to cut about .5"x2" of plastic off. You just need to look at where it rubbed(you can usually see rub marks) or turn ur tire and look.
