Where is the XM tuner?
Does anyone know where the XM tuner is on a 2004 Silverado 2500HD? I'm changing the entire stereo system out and I'm switching to Sirius. Does anyone know if the stock XM antenna will work on a Sirius tuner?
Thanks,
Wes

RE: Where is the XM tuner?
The OEM antenna will work in Sirius's Frequency range but the antenna end connector is different.
The XM tuner (digital receiver) is located behind the glove box.
Don't hold your breath on the merger, there was much talk of this over a year ago but the deal has fizzled out and is not expected to gain FCC approval anyway.
If you recall this merger rumor came about at the same time that the media was reporting that both satellite radio companies were in financial trouble and in danger of bankruptcy.
It is believed that the rumor of an impending merger was conjured up in an attempt to gain subscribership of people that were sitting on the fence; the public was told that they should not be worried as any equipment they purchased will work with either service.
