whinning noise in 89' chevy tranny
I have a 1989 chevy half ton with a 305. it has a manual 5 speed tranny. When i am in 3rd through 5th, while giving it gas, there is a whinning noise. the noise isnt there while im sitting still and and idle, but only when going down the road. it shifts find and everything but no sure what the noise is all about. and maybe its not the trany, it sounds like its right under the driver seat, anyone have any ideas? thanks.

some times idle control valve will whine when going bad also could be front left wheel bearing does it get louder when you let on ands off the throttle? or when you turn left or right does it get louder? try opening up the hood and giving it some throttle. I have a1995 so maybe you could look at my post and see if you can solve my problem lol

i can explain it like this, going down the road in 5th gear, i can let off the gas, with it still in gear and the noise goes away, push on the gas, it makes the noise, let off, and it goes away, when im just sitting still in neutral and pumping on the gas there is no noise. and i know this is off subject, but i see ur a suzuki guy, what years did they put a 650 4 stroke single cylinder into motorcycle? i have that motor in my 4 wheeler and just wanting to know what year it could be, thanks. and ill check you post
