Default Window regulator has a disconnected cable

The passenger side window on my 2007 Silverado quit working. I pulled off the trim panel and noticed a silver cable with a spring on the end disconnected. Nothing else seem broken. Is is possible to reconnect and where does it connect. Or is it better to by a replacement?

Strange you say that.

I have an '01 Silverado where the passenger window will quit working every now and again, like it did yesterday (fourth time in two years). Usually taking off the door panel and tightening all the connections on the motor solves the problem. Wish I could get an answer to solve the problem once and for all.
