Default Witch is the best muffler for my truck?

I have a 02' silverado 2500hd 6.0 gas, I want to give it a nice deep sound. So I think I'm going with magna flow, I don't know much about it, Is there something I should tell the guy who's installing it to do? Or just let him install the muffler. He's charging me $120 with installation, So it ain't too bad of a price, Anyone have any recommendations or info?

Well I think witches prefer broomsticks to trucks.
But it all depends on what your personal opinion is by meaning "best".
Magnaflow and flowmaster I would say are the 2 most popular brands.
You don't say if you want it quiet or loud.
If you want it loud you could tell him to put on 3 inch pipes.
And you better tell him exactly how loud you want it cuz deep and loud are 2 different things.
If you want it deep but not too loud tell him you want it to sound like a flowmaster 40 series.
If you want it deep and loud tell him you want it to sound like a flowmaster 10 series.

You should browse youtube videos of flowmaster 10-40 series to get compare the sound you want.
(Sorry, I am only familiar with flowmaster model numbers)

So what are you looking for?
Just loud with no quality?
Quiet but with a good quality sound?
Or in the middle?

You have a 6 litre so regardless of what you get, it is only gonna sound deep.
It just all depends on how loud and the quality of sound you want.

Here is a 10 series http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GyDSmwomto
30 series http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOEWcorJ_Lc
40 series http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYoi0Lr3JrU
40 series http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlYFpPi-haY

IMO 40 series seems to be more common, but I kinda like the 30 series.
it is loud but not too loud, and also has a good quality throaty sound.

I want a nice deep sound that's not loud enough to drive me crazy while cruising or towing, I don't want a race car sound just something that will match a big 2500hd. Should I give the $120 and have the guy do it or should I spend a few more bucks and do something else? I'll spend max $220,

Also is there something I can have him cut off to give better mpg or performance?

I had all these on my truck from lowest to just a nice rumble.
magna flow
flow master
flo pro. I would have stuck with this but my wife said no.
I ended up going with a local muffler still high flow but quieter. Next time i need one im going with the flo pro

it sounds like your just going with mufflers right? if you want a deep sound that isnt rediculously loud then id do some research on borla, i know their full exhaust systems are pretty expensive, but i just googled borla mufflers and you can stay in your price range and it sounds like its exactly what your looking for

Love the MagnaFlow. Nice and deep. People definitely know you are coming but not overpowering inside the cab.

You are going to be VERY happy with your choice of Magnaflow! Not restrictive and they sound KILLER. Nice deep, low, throaty rumble. Especially when you stand on it

Okay thanks for all the info guys, But one more questions, My stock muffler is a 2 in 2 out, Is it recommended if I get a single other than 2 in 2 out or will I lose performance or anything? Like if I get 1out 2 in? Maybe I'm not explaining it right but I think you should get the idea. Let me know. Thanks in advance!
