2008 Chevy Aveo with 200,000 miles

I actually have two Aveo's I bought them new since they where so a low cost car. One is a 2005 which I have 150,000 miles on and my 2008 has 200,000 miles. One thing that surprising me is I used to see Aveo's on the road all the time and now I hardly see any!? I drive a lot of miles! About 1,000 week. One ting I really like about these cars is the 40+ mpg they get ![Smile](https://chevroletforum.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I have replaced the timing belt every 55,000 miles and only issue I had is the throttle body position sensor that has been coming on and off for the last 90,000 miles which I here there is no real fix which has plagued 06-08 Aveo owners, but other then that I have been running nothing but the Amsoil oil and filter in it since I broke the motor in and I go 15,000 miles on oil changes and the motor does not lose any oil! My goal is 300,000 miles.
Any other Aveo owners out there with 150,000+ miles?

haven't seen any aveo's over 170 000km in the shop I work in. The crappy timing belts and idler pulleys have ensured that. At least the 08's and later had a revised timing belt that lasts the service interval.
when its time to change the timing belt; buy the complete kit...belt, idlers and water pump or you will be sorry.

I do get the timing kit and change everything and right now I am about to get my 4th timing kit in. I am pretty amazed this car has lasted this long, since I only paid $8K for it brand new and planned on it lasting 2 years.
My 2005 I ran conventional oil in it and it started burning oil and 90,000, my 2008 has over 200,000 and does not burn any oil since I have been using Amsoil almost the whole life of the car. I wonder if I can get 300,000 out of my 2008?
I think the 2005 was the best year built before they made the electronic control on the throttle body.
I am done with the Korean made Chevy cars though, if this car goes I am getting a new Dodge Dart which gets 40 mpg also.

aveo's mpg for a subcompact car isn't all that good. My ecotec cavalier will get 47mpg imperial gallon highway and has way more power. The new sonic has a completely different powertrain, thank goodness.
dodge is making some nice looking cars these days.

I have an Aveo model 2007 with the milage of 160,000 miles when I purchased that time it was 83000 miles and until now it's running fine. I faced so many issues with the time but not any major issue. I am doing two things regularly in a timely manner. I change the engine oil after specific milage and also change the oil filter.
