Default How To Replace the Window Motor & Regulator on a '04 Aveo

Hello Avians (I'm reaching on this one )

I've recently replaced the power window regulator and motor on my daughter's boyfriend's '04 Aveo, so I'm going to post up the walk-through for this procedure:

1) Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2) Lower the front window.

3) Remove the door pull screw.

4) Remove the inside door handle.

5) Remove the screws at the base of the trim panel.

**Screws are shown here**

6) Pry off the trim panel using the trim remover J 21104-B (1).

7) Remove the door seal trim.

8) Remove the outside channel molding.

9) Remove the screws that secure the glass to the window regulator.

10) Remove the bolts and the guide rail.

11) Remove the glass from the door.

12) Remove the nuts and the regulator.

13) Disconnect the electrical connector.

-Installation-

1) Connect the electrical connector.

2) Install the window regulator with the nuts and tighten to 62 inch lbs. (7 Nm).

3) Carefully install the door glass.

4) Install the guide rail and the bolts, tighten to 62 inch lbs. (7 Nm).

5) Install the glass to the window regulator with the screws. Tighten to 62 inch lbs. (7 Nm).

6) Install the outside channel molding.

7) Install the door seal trim.

8) Install the front door trim panel.

9) Connect the negative battery cable.
