Welcome to the Forum. Bfg A/Ts for the tires. 265/75/16 is bout the biggest you should run stock.

I agree, the BFG A/Ts are kind of pricey but they last a long time.

Totally agree. I ran BFG Radial All Terrain TA's for many years on my 94 Suburban until a tire guy talked me into a set of those junk Sport Kings to save a few hundered bucks. Wore them out in no time and went right back to the AT TA's vowing never to stray again! They are worth the extra cost and are my tire of choice. My use is mostly Road-mixed hwy and in town, Hwy towing a 5K# trailer 7-9K miles a year, and occasional off-road from colorado Jeep roads over nasty rocks and through creeks to farm fields - anywhere the truck could fit. The TA's will have a similar road noise to the Sport Kings as Sport King has a very similar (knock-off) tread pattern.

if cost is a big issue, check out the junkyards, there are good deals there ($200 for a set of 80% type of deals)
