Question '01 Suburban Driver Seat Movement

I have a 2001 suburban that has power/heated seats with memory. When i try to adjust the drivers seat forward or backward the seat will only move about an inch. When I try again it moves an inch more. everything else seems to work fine. Any ideas? (of course the memory function doesn't work well since the seat will only move and inch at a time).

Welcome to the forum.

Sounds like maybe the motor has a thermal overload cutout. Might take the seat out and make sure there's no binding in the mechanism.
