Default 04 Burban possible to get replacement key fob?

Bought the Burban used almost 7 years ago. Never got to use the keyless entry/remote start/security system it came with. I don't want to spend $100s getting a new system. Can I buy a regular chevy key fob and program it myself? The old system wouldn't interfere, right? I'm not paying someone to remove it. Our driver side powerlock button is broken and it's a huge pain to use the key to unlock driver door, then manually unlock the passenger doors with hands full or groceries in the pouring rain!

Yes, you can get them on eBay, but you'd need the codes off the back of an existing fob. Not sure if those codes are somewhere on your truck.

I ended up getting a 2pk off of Amazon for $15. If it doesn't work, it was only $15 lost. I may or may not create a new post next week regarding programming it haha. It seems pretty easy if it works out though.

I know there is a website with instructions on programming remotes for General Motors vehicles. I think it is programyourremote.com but not a hundred percent positive on that. You can Google it and find it.

It's easy to program these fobs. I've done it a couple of times. Look it up on youtube. There's several videos.

I got the 2pk Monday morning and programmed them using the passenger door lock instead of driver side(which is broken...main reason why I needed the fob)! It was very quick and easy to do. Thanks!
