All,
I have an '07 Tahoe with the std. side steps. I want to add the power side steps. My dealer is telling me that it is not possible.
Has anyone added the steps to thier Tahoe?
Does anyone know if what my dealer is telling me is true?
my VIN: 1GNFC13097R319669
Thanks,
Davis
P.S. ZX, can you chime in on this please?

I have now learned from another dealer that a kit is out but not available.
He gave me the part #:19157595
MSRP $1,499.00 my cost $1,274 plus labor (ouch)
I still hope to find out from some of you if anyone has added these steps or knows anything about the kit.
Best,
Davis

I have seen the kit installed it looks just the same as the factory boards and should work well for you.
I drive a vehicle that has the power boards now and I turn them off so they stay retracted, not my favorite option.

ZX, who should I contact to buy this kit? I was told by the first dealership that I called, that the software upload onto my Tahoe would not take due to the fact that my car did not have that option from the factory. From your last post, it sounds like they work fine installed after the fact.I'm told they wont operate, and will stay in the up-right position.
Thanks for the reply

I believe that the articulated running board kit is just finishing up final certification and is not yet ready for market.
The kit will come with the wiring and control modules, there should also be a code included that will have to be translated into a VIN specific VCI that will enable BCM communication and operation of the boards.

There is one of these kits at Freysinger Pontiac GMC Buick Inc in Mechanicsburg, PA if you want to call them (717) 766-7616
Don't ask me how they got it.

the power steps they are using around here are from amp research i sell them for 1,000 and 1,300 installed you do not need to have any reprograming they are wired into your door switch and you also can have a override switch installed to turn them off completly if you do not want them to retract when you open the door
