Can be done, you will need to install an external amplifier to power the speakers.
This is made easy by utilizing radio wire harness adapters from either PAC or Metra.

Re: 07 LS non-Bose....
I am looking at installing the #102 nav unit with the rear DVD system all stock removed from an 07 Tahoe.
All available on EBay and I just wanted to be sure it would work before forking over the cash!
So besides getting the antenna and CD software....You say I need an external amp??
Should this be a stock amp from a Bose setup?
Also how do I contact PAC or Metra?? Website??
Thanks for the help.

Thanks, but I read the thread and that is why I have questions!
I read The entire forum from page1 thru page 20 and It never states whether the LS non Bose model can be or has been installed successsfully?
The forum does not cover anything on LS models or amps for non Bose!
So far I have come to understand this much:
I can install the #102 unit and it is plug and play.?
I have tohook up VSS for voice commands?
I need an amp and harness but have not been advised as to which amp?? A stock Bose amp?
And it should work correct???

Thanks

Just sent you a PM Matt!
Yes I did get it going!!!!
07 Tahoe non bose/ non onstar.
It works great.....got the nav plug kit from JP customs to hook up VSS wire and the install was cake in about an hour!
I don't have voice recognition since I don't have onstar but that's fine with me!
Radio volume is a little low so I will probably install an aftermarket amp!
Thanks guys ...I could not have done it with out this forum!!!

I guess I just need to learn to read posts more......Hey ZX do you happen to have a part number for the wire harness adapter? Or is that just any radio wire harness adapter?

Thanks

ADD AN AMP INSTALL KIT FROM JP CUSTOMS PART# AOEM-GM1416 $41 PLUS SHIPPING PH#281-533-9900
THE NAVIGATION INSTALL KIT TO HOOK UP THE VSS DOES NOT HAVE A PART# WHEN YOU CALL JP CUSTOMS JUST ASK FOR IT AND THEY WILL KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.

Ok, so I have tht install kit for VSS and a AOEM-GM1416 coming. When I talked to JP customs about this the guy gave me a hint as to where to mount the AMP. He says that there is plenty of room and air if you pop up the cup holder in the back left ( kinda by the jack and lug wrench). So i found a killer Blaupunktto use. I will let yaknow how it goes. I am gonna run the speaker leads up to the front and tap everythign at the HU using the existing wireing feeders for the speaks.

Only one thing left to find ... That is the harness that goes from the HU to the rear flip down DVD (OEM)...
I guess I will just have to go to the dealer to check that one out this week.

Thanks for all the help,

Matt
