Just got a new '08 Tahoe and I love it. Came from a 2000 Tahoe. The new one does not have the Luggage Rack Center Rails (a.k.a. Cross Bars.) I do have the side rails. Does anyone know if the link below shows the exact same Cross Bars that come from the factory?

The reason I ask is b/c I called a few dealers and they claim the Cross Bars for the roof are $115 each. Which sounds very odd b/c to order them with a new Tahoe the msrp is $45 while the invoice price is $37.

Any help would be greatly appreicated.

 

everything is cheaper when you order it from factory already installed, you will ALWAYS pay more $$ when buying seperate thru a GM parts counter....if this makes you feel better the cross rails in Canada are 265.....EACH...its no diff on tires, try and upgrade to 17, and on/off road tires for the 268 I think it is they charge when you build it......VS doing it after, the wheels alone are over 500 here for the 17, never mind the tires...

 

Yes, when I ordered my OEM 20" chrome package on my new Suburban it was only $1,500.00 extra. That was for 4 chrome rims, 4 center caps, 4 upgraded tires, 4 TPM's, 2 chrome tow hooks, 24 chrome lug nut covers, 4 locking lug nuts and 1 stainless exhaust tip.

Try and get all that at the parts counter for under $3,000.00 and I'll send you $50.00 via Paypal for beer. I bet it will run you about $4,000.00?
