1993 suburban loud bang/clunk
I have never posted here but have gotten much help from this forum in the past just by reading posts. Thanks guys
I have a 93 chevy suburban 1500 4x4 and when I put into reverse, acelerate I hear a loud clunk or bang sound like its coming from up front passenger side. Seems to do it only in reverse. But will not make noise while 4 wheel drive is engauged nor will it do it on a lift in the air. I have had 3 different shop look at it with no results just run around. One of those shops a trans shop said t-case but did not even put on rack or realy look at it. Motor mounts and u joints have been inspected.
I was thinking maybe control arm slidng or tortion bar sliding??? I will also add I was driving on highway, drove over decent size bumb "where bridge meets road" about 65 mph and 4wd shifter poped in to netrual. Coasting to side of road I shift it back to 2wd with no problems. That has happened twice. I took it as I did not shift it back properly because I had used 4wd day or two before. One more thing the loud clunk noise was there before shifter problem.
Thanks for any help in advance.
