First Post On The forums. At starting high idles around 1200 on Neu. and Parked. Set it in drive and idles normal (to my knowledge). But jolts when I do. No code yet . But today a code came up. tested it by jumping a and b. And code 22 came up.. rough idle new egr valve. And sylinoid. Thought it was my tps so swaped it with one of a 454 (its the same thing right?). I'm thinking it's my idle air control. Any tips? Anyone have similar problem? It has hard shifting at about 2500 rpm. Please help thanks. Also I don't own a diagnostic tool. I just crossed ab with a wire.

I agree with your assessment that it might be the idle air control which would require cleaning it and the rest of the throttle body.

 

Perfect. The iac was the problem with the hard shifting and high idle. Replaced it and cleaned the throttle. Unfortuantly however, I still have a rough idle on drive when I'm stopped at a red light. Could this be the tps.? I took off a 454. AFTER IT OVERHEATED. Or timing?

 

Check fuel pressure.
