Hello all. My family owns two Suburbans. A 1994, and a 1997. Both are right at 200,000 miles on them. Besides regular maintenance not much has given us problems. I love these vehicles and dont plan on driving anything else![Wink](https://chevroletforum.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)
My 1997 Suburban had the fuel pump go out on it yesterday with 206,000 on it. It just quit, no warning at all. But I can only assume it is the original equipment. So it is to be expected. My question is this: Is it pretty difficult to change them out? And how can I find some instructions on how to do it? I know the tank has to be dropped. And mine has a complete cover that goes over the tank(off road guard?).
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I am pretty sure it is not the original. I am on the 4th fuel pump on my 97, they seem to have a high fail rate. not bad to change just takes quite a bit of time. be sure to pump out as much fuel as possible. when putting back together be sure to get a good ground back on frame clean frame and ground connector well. Good Luck
