1999 Tahoe Brake Lights/Bachup Lights
Hello,
I am having an issue where when the brake is applied, the backup lights come on as well.
When the emergency flashers are on, the backup lights come on as well.
When the left blinker is turned on, it works with no issue.
When the right blinker is turned on, the backup lights come on as well.
This is what I have done....
Removed each light assembly and independently checked to rule out a defective circuit board. (though I'm not convinced of this just yet)
Check all ground wires to the best of my ability. All seem in good shape. The tail light wiring in general seems in good shape.
Checked, with voltmeter, wiring feed from front of car at connector and that works as it should. When I connect the tail light harness to the feed connector, voltmeter shows 12V on backup light wire at tail light harness connector. Which kind of makes sense.
I'm really at a loss here. Everything points to a bad ground, but I'm just not seeing it.
Is there a way to simply run a new ground wire, or is that a major undertaking?
Thank you. Any help would be appreciated....
