Default 2001 Chevy Suburban Camshaft Sensor

I have been trying to find a discontinued part. GM# 12575182. I have tried most major parts houses and it seems nobody has one. I have also tried our local salvage yards too. So far nothing. You would think Chevy would have the parts for their vehicles but I guess not. The engine size is 8.1

Any suggestions?

RockAuto has the part listed on their web site but when you call they say they don't have it.

JimmyRK: Welcome to the forum.

Check w/ a Chevy parts dept as GM changes P/Ns on the same part sometimes due to an improvement or something.

Thanks for the response. I called up a Chevy dealer and they did a search and they said there is one part left at this other dealership. They gave me their number and I called them and they said it was a error in their computer. They don't have one. He said he gets about 8 calls a day from people wanting to but that part. He said GM doesn't make the part anymore nor does any aftermarket company make it anymore. Basically he said I was SOL. I can't believe GM doesn't support a vehicle built in 2001, but that is what it looks like. Last GM I will buy.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Have you tried going on gmpartsdirect.com ? They sell gm certified parts.

Yes I have tried gmpartsdirect.com. I entered the camshaft position sensor #12575182 and it came back as discontinued.
