Default 2001 Chevy Suburban - CDR Problem!


I made a cd in Windows Media Player and i placed it in my 01 suburban and it says ERR - what the Audio Format or whats wrong?

Was this the first time you've done this with this vehicle?
Make sure you have your set up in Windows Media Player for the correct format of audio disc... it should be at least a .wma format.

I don't think that the 01 Sub could read WMA's or MP3's the format needs to be the same as a music disk.

It definitely will not play MP3 , if you did it through Windows Media Player and you selected " Audio CD " it should convert your burn list to .cda format. This format should play on any standard CD player.

In addition to making sure it is cda format, keep the speed down on the burn also.

Also try not to use Windows Media, use Itunes or any other software.
